The primary target group identified was primarily educational specialists and managers in daycare centers, or people in this field who are still studying or in training and further education and who will be dealing with the topic of „children‘s perception of the world of work and careers in early childhood education“ in daycare practice in the future.

This approach is new in preschool education. The WARBEKi pilot project relies on a specific qualification program (seminar) for the target group. The aim is to promote important skills in order to open up opportunities for experience, action and knowledge for the children - 
based on their living environment.

The qualification program developed is based on the principle of lifelong learning in terms of structure and content and is intended to be integrated into existing curricula (study, training) or offered as a stand-alone program (professional training). Another target group is preschool children (three to seven years). WARBEKi assumes – based on a number of empirical studies – that preschool children can already deal with the world of work and careers in a very decisive way.

The project also targets the teachers responsible for qualification (vocational schools, universities, training and further education institutions for teaching staff), parents, teachers in primary schools and advisors in education and careers.
