Module 1
Individual perception of the world of work and employment. The participants can record, interpret and discuss the children's perceptions of themselves and their social environment. They can also explain the importance of the various forms
of employment for society and demonstrate this with examples.
Module 2
Theories of career perception, career choice and career development. The participants know important theories of career perception, career choice and career development with a view to the child and are able to use the theories to interpret individual career ideas.
Module 3
Personality factors relevant to careers. The participants know essential personality factors for successful educational and career development and can integrate these specifically into their educational work with children.
Module 4
Description of sectors and professions. The participants know the main categories for describing sectors and professions. They can also work with children to identify the importance of dream jobs, positively rated professional roles and trendy jobs
in relation to real jobs.
Module 5
Description of the world of work. The participants know the essential conditions and functions of the labor market, the roles of the labor market actors involved, the consequences of unemployment and actions to create equal opportunities and inclusion and can explain this to the children using examples.
Module 6
Relationship between education and the world of work. The participants understand the connection between educational and professional activities, the principles of equal opportunities, inclusion and freedom in choosing educational paths and professions, the connection between education and professional status/professional prestige and the transitions in the educational system and apply this knowledge in kindergarten practice.
Module 7
Advice in the field of early childhood education. The participants know important advice approaches for educational and career advice and can carry out theory-based advice. They are able to reflect on their skills with regard to career orientation (advice in early childhood education). The participants are also able to carry out supervision, peer-to-peer case consultation, parent consultation and personnel consultation.
Module 8
Didactic forms of career orientation in the daycare center. The participants are familiar with the didactic models of career orientation in the preschool sector and are able to put themselves in the children's shoes.
Modul 9
Analysis of curricula. The participants can independently analyse the educational plans for the daycare centers in terms of career-oriented content, learning objectives and media and transfer them to their own work as well as determine and implement their personal training needs.
